Are you a tough boss? Do you “Run a tight ship?” Is it your way or the highway? Are you ALWAYS correcting the smallest things the people on your team are doing “wrong”?
As a manager, you set the tone. An atmosphere ruled by fear or one that is micro-managed, can never be truly service oriented. Really great customer service comes from a joyful heart. An employee who dreads their next encounter with the boss isn’t going to feel comfortable, which is critical to connecting with customers. Cut yourself (and everyone else) some slack by lightening up a bit and watch your employee retention and business grow!
