We all know improving your customer service skills gives you an advantage at work, but there are big benefits to taking those improved skills outside work and into your personal life.
Smiling – When your smile becomes a natural part of who you are, it allows your fascinating personality to glimmer through. It grabs attention and makes others want to be around you. This simple habit has the power to open doors and affords you the chance to meet cool new people you may have never met without first connecting through your signature grin.
Be Charming –We’ve all met that person who simply oozes a magical lure, and secretly we want to be like them. Well, that same magnetism that wins you customers at work can bring adventure into your life too. How you ask? People who exude charm are offered more opportunities; they seem to effortlessly meet interesting people, automatically fit in and are invited to join in on more activities than those who are viewed as having less flair.
Listening – Did you know good listeners are more popular than those who talk more than they tune in? It’s true. Those who really pay attention to what others say also tend to have better relationships, and are regarded as highly valued friends. You’ll learn patience and tolerance, gain new perspectives, keeping your life more interesting. You could get some good advice, and hey, you never know, you might even learn something!
Reading the Customer (or other people!) – We teach this very specific and useful technique at CustomerSkills, with practice anyone can use this skill and use it at work to almost instantly know the personality type of your customer allowing you to know how to best work with their individual personality making your job much easier. Wouldn’t you like to know how to do this in your personal life as well? I mean really, think of the time, effort (and possible headaches!) you’ll save yourself in dating, making friends or even being a customer yourself. It even takes people watching to the next level and makes it more fun!
